PALM BEACH GARDENS, FL-- Labor Finders International won the 2010 Gold Coast PR Council’s Bernays Award for Community Service. Labor Finders competed against some of the most prestigious PR and Advertising Agencies along with numerous government agencies in the South Florida. Celina Klee, Public Relations Manager for Labor Finders accepted the Bernays Award on January 29, 2010.

The Bernays Award, named for Edward Louis Bernays an American pioneer in the field of public relations; often referred to as the father of public relations. Since 2004, the Gold Coast PR Council has honored and recognized South Florida’s Premier PR superstars and media campaigns with this most esteemed award.

The prestigious Bernays Award for Community Service was award to Labor Finders International in recognition for the hard work of their team members concerning the plight of the new American homeless in Sacramento, California. Hundreds of men, women and children, who lost not only their jobs but also their homes due to the economic downturn, had been living in tents on the banks of the American River. Labor Finders felt it needed to utilize its resources to help these people get back on their feet again.

After a brain-storming session it was agreed that Labor Finders had to do more than just give a hot meal to these people…they would try to get them back on their feet by offering job and career guidance. During the event, Labor Finders hoped to draw attention of employers from around the state of California or even nationally, which the company hoped would lead to getting these people jobs during this struggling economy.

Labor Finders hopes turned into one success story after another. Several business owners from local companies read about the upcoming event and decided to attend. Deeply moved at the situation they were witnessing during the event, the business owners began to hire numerous people on the spot. In addition, in the weeks following the event Labor Finders offices were inundated with calls from businesses, which had seen the event on two top-rated TV news stations in Sacramento, California, looking to hire more people.

Labor Finders International believes that a key to their success has been measured by getting people jobs during the struggling economy. In addition, Labor Finders is committed in continuing to develop socially responsible programs across the nation.
