Labor Finders Named Best of Staffing 2010

When we decided to take part in the Best of Staffing 2010, presented by Inavero Institute and CareerBuilder, I was not certain what to expect. To qualify, a staffing firm was required to provide the email address of all current customers who would be asked to respond to a simple survey based upon Net Promoter.

Net Promoter asks the basic question, “Would you recommend Labor Finders?” The response is based on a 1-10 scale. Ratings of 9 or 10 are promoters. A score of 6-8 is considered passive. Less than 6 is considered a detractor and you lose points.

Prior to going forward with the survey, Inavero, based on previous research, shared what some well-known companies have recently earned for their Net Promoter score. Harley Davidson, who has always enjoyed extremely loyal support from their customers, scored an 81%. Apple, who has an equally strong base of followers, scored a 77%. Southwest Airlines happens to be one of the few companies in their space to score well with a 51%. Telecommunications is an industry that typically has its issues. AT&T recently came in with a score of 11%. Simply put, only 11% of their customers think highly enough of their service to recommend them to others.

That brings me to the staffing industry. In our business, we do not produce a product that rolls off of an assembly line. Our product is the employees that we provide to our clients, backed by the service that our office personnel provides. We are in the “people” business.

According to research done by Inavero, the staffing industry averages a Net Promoter score of 40%. I was disappointed to hear that and was hopeful that Labor Finders would exceed that score.

When the results of the Best of Staffing survey arrived, I was pleased to see that Labor Finders earned a score of 63% and our LF Staffing division received a score of 67%! That amounts to more than 50% higher than the average score of our competitors! WOW!

I am so impressed with the efforts of the staff in the Labor Finders and LF Staffing offices across the country, as well as that of the workers we place at our client’s workplace every day.

So, now at Labor Finders, we can sit back and rest on our laurels, but just for a brief moment. Until we reach a score of 100% there are still improvements to be made. Please remember that each and every Labor Finders office offers a guarantee for every placement we make. We need to hear the good and the bad so we can continue to exceed your expectations.
